The Writing Center
Yesterday I went into the writing center in order to observe a tutoring session. During the first couple of minutes of the session I was beginning to think that tutoring was going to be much harder then I thought. When the writer first came into the writing center and sat with the tutor to talk about the paper she mentioned what the professor had wanted her to do. Within the first 5 minutes of her talking to the tutor I felt lost because I didn't understand the assignment. This made me question if I was going to be a good tutor. To find out, neither of them understood until they read more into the assignment. By the end of the session I felt much more confident and I was happy that I was able to observe the techniques this tutor used to have a successful session.
